Guwahati: Ever since the political turmoil started in Maharashtra, a hotel named Radisson Blu has been in the headlines more than rebel MLAs. The luxury hotel located on National Highway 37 on the outskirts of Guwahati city has gained attention as the Maharashtra lawmakers are camping there.

At least 40 MLAs are staying in the hotel along with Eknath Shinde and more are expected on Friday. But have you ever wondered how many rooms have been booked in the hotel and what is the total cost of the same?

As per sources quoted by IANS, at least 70 rooms at the luxury have been booked for Rs 56 lakh. The Radisson Blu hotel has an event spa, a pool, a spa, and five restaurants.

In addition to this, as per the report, food and other services are estimated to cost Rs 8 lakh per day, taking the entire cost of the seven-day stay to Rs 1.12 crore.

Notably, Rebel MLA Shinde landed in Guwahati on Wednesday with other MLAs of Shiv Sena and demonstrated his strength by posting a video with 41 MLAs from the hotel on Thursday.

In the video, the rebel MLAs were seen raising slogans for the Shiv Sena, Balasaheb Thackeray, and Eknath Shinde.

Meanwhile, the Eknath Shinde camp is expected to see more than 50 MLAs as more lawmakers are likely to arrive in Guwahati on Friday.

Reportedly, Shinde currently enjoys the support of 50 MLAs of which 40 are from Shiv Sena while others are independent MLAs.
