GUWAHATI: The Sishu Siksha Samiti, Assam under the aegis of the Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Siskha Sangathan is going to start a fully residential Higher Secondary School at Chandrapur near Guwahati.

The Samiti has been successfully running a network of around 550 schools in Assam, imparting quality, affordable and holistic education to the doorsteps of the masses. Over the years, it has brought laurels to the State through its students who have achieved excellent results in the HSLC examinations, having secured the first rank more than once, besides numerous other positions.

As an extension of its educational activities, Sishu Siksha Samiti Assam has taken the next step of starting a fully residential Higher Secondary school at Chandrapur, Guwahati.

Initially, courses are offered in Arts and Commerce streams for this session. Each stream has an intake of 50 boys with nominal fees structure.

The faculty comprises young, qualified and energetic teachers who shall proactively guide and mentor the students for their success. Eminent resource persons from institutions like Gauhati University, Cotton University, B Barooah College etc., shall also mentor the students from time to time.

Another distinctive feature of the institution are integrated career counseling and coaching for examinations like SSC, NDA etc and various other entrances and examinations free of cost.

Prof. Amlandeep Das, former HoD, English, Cotton University will be the Founder Principal of the institution who shall bring his rich experience of academics and grooming students.

The medium of instruction will be bilingual – English and Assamese. Special classes on spoken English, communication skills and soft skills shall be integrated within the curriculum.
