The Union has also demanded reservation of a Lok Sabha seat for the SC community in the Brahmaputra Valley. The census of SC people of both hills and plains, in various villages of the Brahmaputra and Barak Valley has been requested. “The backlog posts of the SC category in Assam government should be filled up through a Special Drive”, AAJP demanded.
