Smuggled cattle seized; 4 held by Assam Police

GUWAHATI: A team of the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from the Khetri Police Station intercepted a truck (NL01AC5087) and seized 24 smuggled cattle at Ulani on Thursday.

Police sources said that four persons - Faijul Islam, Bulbul Hussain, Rasidul Islam (all from Samuguri) and Gautam Doley of Jorhat - were arrested. A Xylo (AS03Y7432) and Rs 35,000 were also seized.
