GUWAHATI: The Social Welfare Department felicitated eight women during a programme held to observe the International Women's Day on Monday.
During the programme, the following women were felicitated — writer Dr Tapati Baruah Kashyap, social worker Monika Sarma, former sportsperson Haripriya Phukan, enterpriser Mandira Baruah, divyangjan Princy Gogoi, door-to-door gas distributor Alaka Das, taxi driver Ganga Rabha, and farmer Barnali Sarma Baruah.
