GUWAHATI: Noted businessman-cum-social worker Anil Das contributed Rs 30 lakh for the Chief Minister's relief fund to procure the COVID-19 vaccines.
The donation is part of the 'Jana Andolan campaign' started by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Earlier, Das had donated Rs 50 lakh to Assam Arogya Nidhi for the fight against the pandemic in 2020. Das, a former national-level athlete is a resident of Mirza under the Kamrup district. He is involved in various social activities in the South Kamrup area.
