Social worker Rohima Khatun passes away at GMCH

GUWAHATI: Noted social worker Rohima Khatun passed away at the GMCH on Thursday. She was 82 years old.

She is the mother of former AASU leader and noted advocate Nekibur Zaman. Khatum was actively involved in the Assam Agitation. She was buried in the Ulubari Kabarstan on Friday evening. She is survived by four sons and three daughters. After receiving the news about her demise, people gathered at her Chandmari residence to pay condolences.
