Sonaram Higher Secondary School (SHSS) founder’s offspring provides financial aid

GUWAHATI, Oct 15: Expressing his generosity to the students belong to the below poverty line, Dr Nayan Kumar Das, an offspring of the founder of Sonaram Higher Secondary School (SHSS), Sonaram Rajmedhi handed over a financial aid of Rs 1,000 each to eight students. The amount was handed over to the mothers of the students at a function organised by the ‘Prakton Chattra Sammelan’, an alumnus’ body of the SHSS on Monday at the School premises.

It must be mentioned here that the amount of Rs 1,000 will be provided to the underprivileged students every month with an objective to give confidence to their education by Dr Das.

Notably, Dr Das has been residing in the USA since years. Dr Das is also an alumnus of the SHSS. The function was also attended by Dhrubajyoti Morol and Dhijendranath Borthakur among others.
