Special Task Force seizes contraband drugs worth Rs 2 crore in Guwahati
In a joint operation, the Special Task Force (STF) and Kamrup Police recovered huge contraband drugs worth Rs 2 crore at Amingaon.

GUWAHATI: In a joint operation, the Special Task Force (STF) and Kamrup Police recovered huge contraband drugs worth Rs 2 crore at Amingaon. The team was led by the Additional Superintendent of Police of STF Kalyan Pathak with a team of Kamrup police. The team arrested five peddlers, including two women.
According to sources, the team intercepted an Ertiga at Amingaon coming from Manipur and seized 250 grams of heroin. The arrested peddlers are identified as Abdul Rajak Shah (36), MD Yunus Khan (39), Bibi Sara (41) Jarina (25)-all four hailing from Bishnupur district in Manipur, and Lila Kanta Saikia (28) from Dhemaji district in Assam, who is presently residing at Indra Nagar near Bihutoli, Forest Office in Basistha.In this connection, a case (116/23 u/s 21(C)/29 NDPS Act) has been registered with the North Guwahati Police Station.
