GUWAHATI: While the debate between online or offline examinations is underway, a specially abled student of the Cotton University is struggling to find a scribe for the UG 1st semester examinations due to the pandemic.

Shackled with disappointment, Lalbar Ali, the student who is a resident of Nalbari has appealed to the State Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) to either postpone the examination or conduct it online. In his letter to the PwDs' Commissioner, Ali said, "I am unable to find a scribe as no one is willing to risk their lives. I live in Nalbari and using public transport is highly risky for me and my companions. So, I request you to either postpone the examination to a further date or conduct the same online for my convenience."
