Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju Meets Three Prominent Citizens of Assam

GUWAHATI: In his campaign for one nation one constitution Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Kiren Rijiju met three prominent persons of Assam – Padmashri Dr. Ilias Ali, former AXX president Dr. Lakhinandan Bora and footballer Gilbertson Sangma – in their respective residences here on Sunday.

A statement issued to the media by the State BJP on Sunday said that BJP leaders have been interacting with prominent citizens in the country after the abrogation of Article 370 that had been in Jammu and Kashmir.

State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass and other leaders of the party accompanied the Union minister during the interaction.

When asked on the interaction, Padmashree Dr Ilias Ali said: “The Union minister on was the job of public relations to make people aware as to why the Central government had to abrogate the Article 370. He appreciated me for my contribution to the field of population control.”

Dr Ali said: “I told the minister that I’m against division of India. Supporting united India, I told him that a united India can give strength to the nation.”
