Sports shop gutted in fire in Ulubari, Guwahati

Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a massive fire broke out in Ulubari area of Guwahati.

A sports shop, "Sports India" was gutted in the fire. The reason behind the fire is suspected to be short circuit. It is reported that goods worth rupee lakhs were destroyed in the fire. No casualty or injury has been reported yet.

Dr B. Borooah Road in Guwahati is the hub for sports and related types of equipment. Teams of State Disaster Response Funds (SDRF) and fire brigade, along with police officials reached the incident site after the fire broke out.

Earlier in November, 14 shops were gutted in Pandu Market, Guwahati. Goods worth rupee crores were destroyed by the fire. Nine of the 14 shops were completely destroyed. The reason behind the fire was also suspected to be short circuit.
