GUWAHATI: Several names have come to the surface in the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in the Rs 105 crore scam in Assam, where accused Sewali Devi Sharma has claimed several names, including RTI activists and journalists, in the police interrogation.
According to a source, prime accused Sewali Devi Sharma confessed in front of the police that some RTI activists and journalists blackmailed her and took a hefty amount of money from her.
On the other hand, the Chief Minister's Special Vigilance Cell has been summoned to apprehend the alleged names claimed by her. One of the RTI activists was interrogated on Thursday.
It may be mentioned that Sewali Devi Sarma and two other accused were arrested in Ajmer, Rajasthan. So far, 10 people have been arrested in this case.
