State govt informs High Court about withdrawal of APSC language paper

GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Friday informed the Gauhati High Court about its decision to withdraw the Assamese language paper from the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC). The government apprised the court about the decision in response to a petition filed by some candidates opposing the government's move. The court directed the Assam Public Service Commission to withdraw the language paper which will be implemented in the upcoming APSC examination.

Recently the state government had decided to drop the compulsory language paper from the APSC examination.
