Stolen vehicles recovered by Jorabat Police; two held

GUWAHATI: Recently, an inter-State gang of car thieves was busted by Jorabat Police. Eight persons were arrested and two stolen vehicles were recovered. Further operations have led to recovery of two more vehicles – one each from Mairang and Nongstoin in Eastern West Khasi Hills. Two persons were also arrested. The arrested persons have been identified as Samborlong Sawkmie (31) of West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, and Shanstor Nungbet (26) of East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya. The operation was carried out with the help of Meghalaya Police.
