GUWAHATI: AGP president and Agriculture Minister Atul Bora on Monday said the regional party has to be strengthened from the grassroots for the greater interest of Assam.
Addressing the central general meetings of Asom Yuba Parishad and Asom Mahila Parishad held at the AGP headquarters at Ambari here Bora said his party has been standing with the people of the State on all major issues. He said the people must be involved directly in the development process in the State. Bora while talking to reporters after the meeting said there are dedicated workers and leaders in the AGP. “These workers and leaders are the capital of our party and we will march ahead to the 2021 assembly elections with these people. We are having an alliance with the BJP. But there has been no discussion so far on seat-sharing for the next year’s elections. The AGP will give thrust on using social media to reach to the people,” he said.
