Sushanta Buragohain & several others join BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party)
The Congress MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) from Thowra, Sushanta Borgohain has joined the saffron party in the presence of the State BJP president

GUWAHATI: The Congress MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) from Thowra, Sushanta Borgohain has joined the saffron party in the presence of the State BJP president Bhabesh Kalita at the State BJP's (Bharatiya Janata Party) headquarters – Atal Behari Vajpayee Bhawan – at Hengerabari here on Sunday.
Sushanta Borgohain said, "I have joined the BJP to serve the people and also to develop the State."
Before joining the BJP, Borgohain met Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at his residence in Dispur. Later addressing the media, CM Sarma said, "We welcome Borgohain to the party."
Along with Borgohain, a number of party workers also joined the BJP.
Incidentally, he had resigned from the Congress and also as an MLA on Saturday.
