Talk on Women Hygiene Held at at TC Govt Girls’ HS & MP School

GUWAHATI: As part of the ongoing Swachhta drive being observed across the nation, Guwahati Refinery conducted a ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ programme at TC Govt Girls’ HS & MP School, Guwahati Club on September 29.

The programme included a talk on women personal hygiene which was delivered by Gita Dutta, CDMO, Guwahati Refinery to the students. The students also took part in a pledge-taking programme where they vowed to devote their time towards cleanliness of both the household and the surrounding.

During the programme, prizes were also distributed to the winning students who secured positions at the drawing competition organized by Guwahati Refinery amongst the students on the theme “Swachhta Hi Sewa”. Later in the school lawn area, the students formed a human-chain while holding placards with messages on cleanliness and its importance towards nation building. The officials from Guwahati Refinery, teachers and staff members of the school also joined in. Meanwhile, a tree plantation ceremony was also organized where the students planted saplings of fruit-bearing trees at various locations of the school compound.
