Tarun Gogoi slams Dispur for 'deteriorating' COVID situation

GUWAHATI: Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday slammed the Assam Government for 'deteriorating' the COVID situation in the State.

In a statement, Gogoi said there is shortage of beds, medicine, and other infrastructure, thereby it has proved that there is no proper coordination, consultation for drawing a strategic policy to deal with the COVID situation.

The leader asserted that the government should gear-up the machinery involving all sections of people irrespective of political party, even should involve NGOs, student organizations, retired officials, NCC Scouts Guides, civil services to meet the situation adequately.
