Tele-education in schools from August

GUWAHATI, July 6: Keeping up with the times the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) is going to implement tele-education in Class IX and Class X from this August. Tele-education is a modern system of education in which students receive instructions over the Internet, from a video, etc. It is also called e-learning which comprises all forms of electronically supported learning and teaching systems. A notification to this effect was issued by the SEBA on July 2, 2018. The notification says that the Department of Secondary Education intends to implement tele-education in government/provincialized schools across the State in phases. The subjects to be taught through tele-education, according to the notification, are English, Science and Mathematics. The notification further says that there will be one period of tele-education in each of classes IX and X a day.
