Temperature to dip further as weather forecast predicts heavy rain for Assam

The weather forecast for Assm in the next 24 hours says that the state is to undergo heavy rain. Both, the Borjhar based Regional Meteorology Centre (RMC) and India Meteorological Department have made a similar forecast for the northeastern state. As per the IMD forecasts, rain/thundershowers are observed at many places of Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Assam & Meghalaya. This denotes that all the northeastern states are to undergo rainfall in the next few hours.

Certainly, the rainfall predictions for Assam and its neighbouring states will give a respite to the people of the region from the scorching heat and the increasing para as the sunny days in the last few days have made life miserable for people and animals. Though too much of rain is also not good for the state as it is only recently that thousands of people of the state were reeling under the overflowing flood. Notably, the temperature on August 12 was recorded 39 degree Celsius which is the maximum in the season.

The IMD reports further says that thunderstorms are observed in Assam & Meghalaya and the maximum temperature departures on 13-08-2019. It also mentions that the temperature in Assam which is appreciably above normal at many places over Assam & Meghalaya will also dip. As for the Guwahati city, the weather will remain cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thunderstorms on August 15, 2019.

As India celebrates the 73rd Independence day on August 15, the decreasing temperature will give a respite to the organizers and the audiences of the I-Day programmes. The celebrations on the day witnesses parades, flag hoisting, horse shows, lecture deliveries and several other activities being performed by the police personnel on open ground. This is why the decreasing temperature will mark a relief and comfort for the performers and the audiences sitting under the Sun.
