Tinsukia Killings: Moran students blame anti-Assam forces

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Moran Students' Union (AAMSU) has said that provocative statements by some anti-Assam forces have led to the killing at Dhola in Tinsukia district.

The Student body president Arunjyoti Moran said: "This government speaks of jaati, maati and bheti, and it was formed with the support of the indigenous people of the State. However, after coming to power, it is out to protect Hindu Bangladeshis at the cost of the interests of the locals. Our stand is clear – the NRC should be updated in accordance with the Assam Accord, besides detecting and deporting foreigners in accordance with the Accord."
