Three Whiskey Connoisseurs, 2 Years of Celebration & One Giant Burger - The Whiskey, Guwahati

On 31st August 2021, The Whiskey, which has quickly become a popular hangout hub of Guwahati city, completed two years of its establishment. Located in RG Baruah Road, the 6th-floor establishment opened in 2019 has an enchanting 360-degree view of the cityscape from Gandhi Mandap to the undulating Hengerabari hillocks. These two years have been all about catering to timeless conversations over good food and drinks.

Despite being hit by the pandemic outbreak in 2020, the three co-founders of The Whiskey, Siki Ronghang, Sunny Hatikakoti, and Arnab Hazarika kept the hustle going to support their employees during a tough phase and continued to cater to the people of Guwahati while keeping all safety and hygiene protocols in place.

Hazarika adds: "Our numerous traveling sojourn has a lot to do with coming up with a place like The Whiskey, which can cater to all audience and give everyone a feel of a place that could have been in Delhi or Manila."

Apart from housing a fine collection of alcoholic beverages, the Whiskey has carved a niche among the food lovers in town through its unique food offerings – their range of grills, pizzas, and burgers are deemed to be among the best in the city. And it only seemed right to mark their second anniversary by bringing in the biggest burger that Guwahati has ever seen – the crazy display was 16-inch in size and weighed around 8 kg.

The Whiskey is among the few places in the city which offer a cozy rooftop ambiance. On the weekends, the place remains packed with people and often houses live performances by talented artists. Some of the regular visitors consider it the perfect spot to unwind over a couple of drinks, while others keep coming back for their scrumptious food and great music.
