Training for Presiding Officers commences under Kamrup Metropolitan Election District
The training of the Presiding Officers will be held in three phases on the premises of various schools. A total of 2,332 officers will be trained.

GUWAHATI: In connection with the ensuing Assembly polls, the training of Presiding Officers for 1,707 polling booths under Kamrup Metropolitan Election District commenced on Saturday. The training of the Presiding Officers will be held in three phases on the premises of Cotton Collegiate Government HS School, Panbazar Railway HS School, TC Government HS School, and Kamrup Academy HS School. A total of 2,332 officers will be trained out of which 2,160 are male and 172 are female.
On the other hand, out of a total of 9,224 officials who will be trained for their polling duties, as many as 8,549 are male and 675 are female officials. It is worth mentioning that 125 polling stations will be manned by female officials in Kamrup Metro in the forthcoming polls.
