Training held for V&AC Assam investigation officers

GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption (V&AC), Assam, conducted a daylong training-cum-interactive session for its investigating officers (IOs).

A team from the CBI, ACB, and Guwahati, including senior public prosecutors shared inputs on, inter alia, practices and procedures followed by the CBI in connection with an investigation of corruption cases.

The state Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption embarked on a mission mode to catch public servants red-handed while accepting bribes. It registers and investigates cases under appropriate sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act against corrupt officials for amassing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income or for misappropriation of government money by abusing their official positions, etc.
