Transgenders' clash turns violent in Maligaon, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A violent scuffle broke out between two transgender groups at the Dinesh Goswami Path in Maligaon on Friday. According to reports, several people were injured in the clash and three are in critical condition. Reportedly, the clash broke out after a vehicle with transgenders suspected to be from outside the State was intervened by the members of the local transgender community. The incident took a severe turn after supporters from both the groups joined the scuffle and bashed each other. Later, the Jalukbari Police reached the spot and neutralized the situation. The injured ones were rushed to the hospital by the personnel.
