Two arrested for murder by Assam Police

GUWAHATI: The body of an unidentified man was recovered on February 16, 2022 from a drain in the Adingiri-Durgasarobar road. The body was wrapped in a plastic bag.

Accordingly, a case was registered vide Jalukbari PS case number 124/22 u/s 302/201 IPC and investigated. During investigation, after three months the the deceased was identified as Pradip Mondal (35), son of Madan Mondal of Halanbari PS in Patacharkuchi in the Bajali district.

Police arrested a couple from Halanbari village for their alleged involvement in the murder. The couple has been identified as Indrajeet Goswami (26), son of Khitish Goswami, and his wife Himashri Das Goswami (23).
