Two police officials suspended

GUWAHATI, March 31: Two days after a thief allegedly escaped from Jalukbari police outpost of the city, two city police officers were placed under suspension for negligence of duty. Jalukbari Police outpost IC, Sub Inspector Musaddik

Hussain and Assistant Sub Inspector (Control room) Bhaben Kumar Borah were placed under suspension today, official sources said here. Sources said one of the two thieves, who were held on March 29, escaped from Jalukbari police outpost on the same day but Sub Inspector Hussain did not report it to senior officials nor tried to trace him out. The thief was identified as Abdul Mann.
