Two Stolen Vehicles From Guwahati recovered

GUWAHATI: A pick-up van (AS25BC4149) that had been stolen from Lokhra, Guwahati on December 1 was recovered from Dillai in Karbi Anglong on the same day.

The owner of the vehicle Mahindra Bora filed an FIR (709/18u/s379 IPC) the same day at Gorchuk Police Station. The vehicle was seized for not stopping at the Dillai checking point in Karbi Anglong by police. Coming to know that it was the same stolen vehicle, the van along with its driver Bikash Kalang, have been handed over to Gorchuk Police Station. After a court hearing, he was sent to judicial custody on Sunday. Another vehicle, an auto-van which had been stolen from Bora Gaon on November 27, 2018 was also recovered at Boitamari in Bongaigaon district. The two thieves – Moinul Hoque and Raham Ali – have been arrested.
