Unidentified Dead Body Of Girl With No Clothes Found In Guwahati's Panikhaiti Area

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) will investigate the case and a dog squad has been deployed by the police to trace clues on the site of the incident.

Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a girl's unidentified dead body was recovered from the Amgaon area in the Panikhaiti locality of Guwahati on the afternoon of March 22.

The locals of the area found the girl's corpse during the afternoon hours and they immediately informed the police.

The police immediately rushed to the spot and found the dead body without clothes. The identity of the deceased have not been discovered so far but the police have immediately launched an investigation into the matter.

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) will investigate the case and a dog squad has been deployed by the police to trace clues on the site of the incident.

The dead body was taken to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for autopsy.

According to reports, the dead body will be kept at the morgue of the GMCH for 72 hours or 3 days.

The locals have suspected that it might have been a case of rape and murder as her body was found naked.

Earlier, A dead body was recovered in Demow Ekorani Pathar on March 20. The deceased has been identified as Dulal Gowala, a resident of Ekorani Borhulla Gaon.

According to sources, Dulal Gowala went for work on March 17 and from that day he did not return to his residence. The local people saw the dead body of  Dulal Gowala in Demow Ekorani Pathar on March 20 and immediately informed the Demow Police and family members of Dulal Gowala. The Demow Police reached the area and recovered the dead body.
