Union Budget 2020 is anti-people, anti-labour: AITUC

GUWAHATI: All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Assam State Committee on Monday said that the Union budget 2020 is “anti-people and anti-labour”. The federation organized a protest and in a press statement it stated that there is no provision for the development of the northeastern region in the budget.

“There have been numerous agitations by various labour unions in the country but there was no mention of scheme for the benefit of the labour class. There was scheme to revive the public sector units which are going through a tough phase but instead the government is trying to privatize them”, the federation stated.
