GUWAHATI: Independent candidate Upamanyu Hazarika while addressing the press on Saturday at the Dispur Press Club stated that the third phase poll in the city will impact the politics of the entire Assam.

“No political party has their own ideologies. The public should make note and vote for the most deserving candidate who will support their cause”, said Hazarika. He further claimed that the indigenous will unite in this election and money politics will be rejected by the public.

“Since March 11, we have distributed 4 lakh leaflets. Taking the election as the platform, the politics and culture of the state needs to be changed. Moreover, the political parties distribute the public’s money among the public itself. So, even if a person accepts political bribe, he will vote for the party bof his own choosing.” Hazarika asserted that the interests of the indigenous are supreme to the crisis of the illegal immigrants and stressed that he will bring forth the various issues plaguing the state.
