Uproar at AGP headquarters after Jorhat Man locks up entrance gate

Guwahati: A person hailing from Jorhat locks up the entrance gate of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) headquarter here in Guwahati’s Ambari out of anger on Thursday morning.

The incident had lead to a chaotic situation in the area thereafter. The person was identified as one Montu Dutta.

As per reports, the person who claimed himself to be a party member of Asom Gana Parishad from Jorhat locked up the entrance gate alleging that the AGP party is secretly making an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

The matter got more chaotic after several people of the party workers including women party workers raised hue and cry in the party office near the entrance gate in Ambari, later, the gates were opened after half an hour.

It may be mentioned that a section of media has been reporting that the regional Asom Gana Parishad party has been secretly making a joint alliance with the saffron party ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Meanwhile, Asom Gana Parishad, Media Convener, Monoj Saikia confirmed The Sentinel Digital that Montu Dutta is not related to Asom Gana Parishad party from Jorhat Unit.
