USTM Student To Represent Meghalaya At Youth Parliament in New Delhi

GUWAHATI: Princy Saikia, a graduate-level student from the Department of Sociology, University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya stood in the first position in the recently held State Level Youth Parliament contest at the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. The event was held on February 7 where 15 participants (top three from each district level winners) delivered their speeches on their selected topics for five minutes each in front of five jury members and others. Three district level winners of RiBhoi-West Khasi Hills combined, who are USTM students participated in the event.

According to a press release, Princy Saikia will represent the state of Meghalaya along with second rank holder at the National Youth Parliament to be held in New Delhi on February 22 or 23, 2019 where 2 participants from each of the state/UT will participate. Jitendra Chapagain of BALLB student of USTM will also visit New Delhi as a delegate representing the district of Ri-Bhoi.
