GUWAHATI: Vidya Bharti is organizing a 'MyNEP' competition in an attempt to spread awareness about the key features of the National Education Policy among the youth and the citizens, from 25 September, the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay to October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

As a part of the 'MyNEP' competition, being conducted by Vidya Bharti across these seven days, various competitions in three categories and thirteen languages ??will be organized online (www.mynep.in) for school students, students studying in colleges and universities and citizens, stated a release.

Through these competitions and programs Vidya Bharti wants to highlight the key features of this education policy, created after the most comprehensive consultation with the general public and the academic community of India and to ensure the participation of the entire academic community in its effective implementation.

So far, over 7 lakh contestants have already registered for various competitions across categories. Numerous seminars and online quiz competitions have already been organized so far under the 'MyNEP' competition since its inauguration, the release added. Education Ministers of various state s and esteemed members of academia, including directors of NAAC and AICTE, have been a part of these programs and interacted with the academic community.

Ram Araowkar, All India General Secretary of Vidya Bharati said that, "The National Education Policy, created after extensive discussions and deliberations, is an India-centric policy guided by the conscience of India, focused squarely on India's need, and made with the vision of making India the Vishwa-Guru again, the shared vision of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Mahatma Gandhi. Vidya Bharati, through this competition running till October 2, hopes and aims to take the key features of this policy to the general public and calls upon them to play a leading role in its effective implementation."
