GUWAHATI, Sept 28: The much awaited Rima Das’s ‘Village Rockstars’ has hit the silver screens across the State on Friday. All the major theatres of the State, including Guwahati have confirmed a packed crowd for each show.
Anuradha Cineplex, one of the major theatres of the city has confirmed almost 80%-90% packed house for the first show today evening. “100 seats of the theatre has been booked by the Assamese film fraternity,” officials at the theatre informed
On the other hand, Cinepolis has confirmed a very positive response too. Officials there said, “We saw a wonderful response for Village Rockstars, which is not always seen when it comes to Assamese films. The morning show had seen an almost 85% full house crowd. We are getting the same response for the evening show too.”

Filmmaker Rima Das has intricately shown love within childhood friends, and a mother’s selfless love for her children within the movie. The film has brought new hopes for the Assamese film industry with its simple but beautifully woven narrative.
