Vishnu idol excavated from Cotton University, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: An idol of Lord Vishnu has been excavated from the premises of Cotton University on Thursday. As per reports, the idol is expected to be around 11 to 12 centuries old and was found during a construction site inside the university. The recovered idol has been handed over to the Archaeological Department for examination.
