GUWAHATI: Mr. Sailendra Pandey, chairman, JSFNE said that the failure of the Government mechanism in the public distribution system is because of excessive growth of population. Pandey is the keynote speaker at the webinar.

Pandey also urged all to vouch for strict population control law for the nation.

Just after him, Mr. Lalji Sonari, Convenor, JSF Northeast Chapter, another keynote speaker on the session stated how to reach the mass through prachar and samprachar using IT-driven enriched media like Pepsi and Coca-Cola did.

Prof. Sukumar Nandi, Professor, CSE, IIT Guwahati & President BSM IIT Guwahati Unit and Cochairman of the webinar put forward before us with statistical data pointed out increasing population at an alarming rate in Indian subcontinent than that of any art of the world. The reason for such increasing pattern of population as he mentioned that the longevity of people has increased. Dr. Shashanka Sekhar Sharma explained how they have organised Sankalpa programme of JSF at Dhubri today.

Prior to conclude, Prof. Bibhash Chandra Das Purkayastha, eminent educationist, ex-principal of Pandu College, National Advisor BSM and Chairman of this webinar, started his remark with a story of Assam Cabinet Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who recently raised the issue of favouring one religion while imparting education precisely Mradassa where Quaran is being taught in Arabic & Urdu with the Government aid, making education a true secular system in Bharat.

He continued that if this can be done then population control which is an act of nation building process should be done on priority.

He says, it is evident that poor literacy and economically poor areas are the breeding ground for more population. Poor Health literacy is also another great contributor for unhealthy growth of population in Bharat. As a measure to stop such menace and hurdle for development of nation, spread of education and health literacy initiatives to be initiated for the mass. Finally he mentioned that Supreme Court in its verdict has made Environment as course for study is compulsory for all, instead population control and its awareness to be made compulsory which in turn will take care of environment.

Dr. Subhajit, moderator, summarised that JSF should have two more dimension now onwards one Education vis-à-vis Literacy wing and another Health Literacy wing in order add value and boost the Jan Andolan of Janasankhya Samadhan to make Bharat a Biswaguru, a press release said.
