GUWAHATI: Kamrup Metro district administration has been giving utmost priority in formulating various Central and State government schemes. For effectively implementing a number of health schemes, Kamrup metro district has been credited with the best performing district in the State for the years 2017-18,” said Kamrup metro Deputy Commissioner, Virendra Mittal.

Talking to the reporters at the Guwahati Circuit House on Thursday, DC Mittal highlighted that over the past two years, altogether 93,630 patients have got the opportunity to diagnose 12,662 numbers of CT Scan and 5,40,488 numbers of laboratory tests in Kamrup metro district. The DC highlighted that under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, altogether 4,34,538 bank accounts have been opened in Kamrup district so far while 39,108 numbers of individuals have been included under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana in Kamrup district. He added that the State Bank of India (SBI) has sanctioned a sum of Rs 261 crore to 1,937 beneficiaries under the State’s Apun Ghar scheme ever since 2017 in Kamrup metro district.
