Will it be a world record for Bihu?

GUWAHATI: Satsaree, a social and cultural development organization, who has performed commendable social services in the past years, will be working for a world record under India Book of World Record. A Bihu gathering with 700 dancers, 100 dhulia’s, 20 pairs of pepa musicians, will contest for the record on March 31 at Rajdhani Nursery, Radha Gobindo Kalakshetra.

The trainers include Pranjit Challeng, Parthajeet Dutta, Mondira Barua and Kundal Raj Chakraborty. Two judges from the India Book of World Record will come down to witness and review the grand event.

Mondira Barua, president of Satsaree informed at a press meet, “Many have tried for the Bihu record without success. Bihu represents our culture and to be able to portray it to the world is an honour in itself. We have worked hard and will try to give our best.”
