Workshop On Research Methodology Held by GMCH

GUWAHATI, Sept 7: A 3-day workshop on Research Methodology was conducted by the Department of Community Medicine, Gauhati Medical College from September3 to 5 at the Academic Hall of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The workshop was sponsored by Srimanata Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Assam.

As many as 35 faculties from various Medical Colleges of Assam participated in the Workshop. It started with the welcome address delivered by Principal cum Chief Superintendent of GMCH Prof (Dr) Atindra Kumar Adhikari.

The Objectives of the Workshop was explained by Dr Jutika Ojah, Professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine, GMCH. On the first day, the scientific sessions were delivered by Dr. Jagadish Mahanta, Former Director of RMRC, Dibrugarh and Dr P K Mahapatra, RMRC, Bhubaneswar.

On the second day sessions, deliveration on various topics were made by Dr R M Pandey, Professor and Head, Department of Biostatistics, AIIMS, New Delhi while On the last day two distinguished faculties from AIIMS, New Delhi, Padmashri Dr Kameshwar Prasad, Professor and Head, Department of Neurology and Stroke Unit and Director of Clinical Epidemiology and Dr Anurag Srivastava, Professor and Head, Department of Surgery enlightened the participants with their sessions, a communique said.
