World Indigenous Peoples Day in a low-key manner in its office at Hatigaon

GUWAHATI: The Indigenous Forum, Assam (IFA) observed the International Day for World Indigenous Peoples Day in a low-key manner in its office at Hatigaon here on Sunday because of COVID-19 outbreak. The topic – the Future of the Indigenous People of Assam – was discussed at a seminar that was presided over by IFA chief convener Anup Chetia. Karbi leader Holiram Terang and Tiwa leader Manab Bordoloi were the distinguished speakers at the seminar.
