Yaba Tablets worth Rs 1 lakh seized from Rajdhani Express at Guwahati Station, One Apprehended

Guwahati: Government Railway Police (GRP) on Friday during a train checking at around 6.30 am apprehended a person for allegedly carrying Yaba (WY) tablets from Dibrugarh-New Delhi bound Rajdhani Express.

The apprehended person identified as Majnu Sheikh, 28 years son of Sattar Sheikh of Kooch Behar, West Bengal.

Government Railway Police (GRP) during a patrolling duty at 20503 Down Rajdhani Express, seat no. 27, Coach Number B13 with 7800 numbers of Yaba (WY) tablets worth Rs 1,00,000 which he was carrying from Dimapur to Kooch Behar.

A case was also registered under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS Act).
