Youth mowed down by truck in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A youth named Tirtha Pratim Deka (31) died after his Scooty (AS01DQ 4362) was mowed down by a Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) garbage collection truck (JH-05A 1401) at Hatigaon here on Monday.

Police sources said that the deceased youth was a resident of Geetanagar here and worked in a private company.

The driver of the garbage collection truck, one Raju Ali, has been arrested, the sources said.
