‘Zero tolerance on Duty lapse’ says Minister Parimal Suklabaidya

GUWAHATI, Sept 6: Minister of Environment and Forest Parimal Suklabaidya chaired a review meeting of Kamrup east and west division at Aranya Bhaban, Panjabari in presence of Forest officials. During the meeting, the Minister emphasized on clean and efficient execution of duties and warned that any lapse and illegal activities found in duty will not be tolerated.

During the meeting the Minister issued instruction to PCCF and HOFF to impose a fine of minimum of Rs 1 lac as fine of all mines and mineral related offences compound, all DFO, ACFs shall visit saw mills, timber depot monthly and submit reports. He also instructed the CF, CAC to verify the status of encroachment in Fatasil areas. Moreover, Aditional PCCF (RE&WP) has also been directed to finalize the entire working branch. During the meeting, three nos of Mahals were proposed under Kamrup West Division adjacent to the areas outside the Dolphin areas. It was also decided to step up measures to initiate all pending eco sensitive zone, a communiqué said.
