100 per cent cashless transaction at Rangiya Rly Station

GUWAHATI, Nov 23: Call it showing the way or otherwise, Rangiya Railway Division has made total cashless transaction a reality in Rangiya Railway Station.

Taking to newsmen, Divisiol Mager of Rangiya Railway Division Ravilesh Kumar said: “Transaction has been made totally cashless in Rangiya Railway Station. As many as 29 POS machines have been installed in the station to make cashless transaction a reality. This is not all. Thirty-three of the 97 stations under the division have been converted to LED illumition, hundred per cent. The remaining 64 stations under the division are following suit by March next. As many as eight railway stations and 44 level-crossings have solar power.”

On revenue front, Kumar said: “Till now the division has earned revenue amounting to Rs 87 crore, exceeding the target by 58 per cent.”
