GUWAHATI, Sept 19: India’s first open-air short film festival, amphitheatre – 14th Adda Short Film Festival – beginning in 2004 is going to be held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati on December 2 and 3, 2017.

President of the festival, Amardeep Gogoi said: “A short film from Bangladesh got the first prize last year. Films from rest of the world do come to the festival, slowly. This festival was organized to encourage the youth from the Northeast. The festival will have three sessions – competition, show and invitee. Documentaries should be of 30 minutes, and short films should be of 15 minutes in any language. The entry fee is Rs 1,000. We’re here to give youths from the Northeast a launch pad from where they can take their leap. Such launch pads can provide them inspirations from those who have scaled heights in the film industry. We want support from the people of the region so as to make us take strides.”
