16 State students to take part in Yoga Olympiad

GUWAHATI, March 1: As many as 16 students from Assam are going to take part in the Yoga Olympiad slated to be held in June at New Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister rendra Modi. As is the case with other States of the country, the 16 participants from Assam will be selected from competitions in as many as 42 subdivisiol centres of the State. Around 100 yoga students took part in the competitions in each of the 42 subdivisiol centres. The district-level competition will be held on March 4 and the main competition will be in mid-March in Guwahati. The 16 candidates to take part in the fil at New Delhi will be picked from this competition.
