18th North East Book Fair from November 3

GUWAHATI, Sept 15: The 18th North East Book Fair, organised by All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers Association, will be held from November 3 to 14 at the Assam Engineering Institute playground, Chandmari, in the city.

Briefing media persons, General Secretary of All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers Association, Dhiraj Goswami said that over 200 publishers and book sellers from Agaratala, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ludhia, New Delhi, Siliguri and Bangladesh will participate in the pair.  “Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal and Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will grace the iugural ceremony,” Goswami said. He further stated that the book fair will be dedicated to poet and writer Late linidhar Bhattacharya. The semir hall will be dedicated to eminent litterateur Late Mahim Bora.
