19th NE Book Fair begins today

GUWAHATI, Nov 2: The North East Book Fair, 2017 hosted by All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers’ Association (AAPBSA) will be started from Friday at AEI ground, Chandmari in the city.

AAPBSA president Ajit Kumar Barman, while addressing the media on Thursday, said that this edition of the book fair would be dedicated to renowned drama persolity Arun Sarma and veteran jourlist Radhika Mohan Bhagawati.

Renowned author Dr gen Saikia will iugurate the book fair at 4 pm and Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal will attend as chief guest at the iugural function of the book fair.   

He said that a total of 170 book sellers and publishers have participated in the book fair.
